It's movie night, babes and queers! And Babetown could not be prouder to be launching the very first #BabetownMovieNight with Women Who Kill- the winner of Best Screen Play at the Tribeca Film Festival and Outfest and nominated for an Independent Spirit Award. Directed by Ingrid Jungermann (creator and star of "The Slope" and "F to 7th") and starring Sheila Vand (A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT), WWK is a murder mystery comedy, about commitment phobic Morgan (played by Jungermann) and her ex-girlfriend Jean, who are locally famous true crime podcasters in Brooklyn. The two begin to suspect that Morgan's sultry new love interest (played by Vand) is a murderer. Check out the trailer below!

We are headed to the suburbs, babes! Babetown is taking over a beautiful Long Island home to throw our first ever pool party! Sip sangria by the pool while you mingle with babely queers. And in honor of it being the suburbs, we'll be cooking up a New England clam bake with grilled seafood and old bay spiced corn on the cob. Carpools will be made available to all the city kids willing to travel out of the city for us. Free entry is available for people with cars, interested in driving a carpool. PM me if interested! And otherwise, I'll see all the rest of you babes on the Strong Island.

This is not going to be like your Mother's Shabbat. In partnership with OneTable, Babetown is proud to host a Friday night dinner, with lots of good food, flowing wine and, of course, lots of queerness. We will rest and eat up a big, bountiful meal, home made by professional chefs, but we will also party. This is the kind of Shabbat that might have more Kid Cudi than Kiddush, so no religious affiliation required. Just bring your love for good times, good food and good tequila.

Since there'll be plenty of BBQs ahead featuring beef burgers and grilled chicken, we thought we'd turn it around a little and do a completely different kind of cook out - where the smoked slabs are tempeh and the burgers are tofu. We'll have plenty of fresh, local veggies - grilled and smoked to highlight the Earth's most natural gifts! And, of course, plenty of bubbly, booze and queers! Come join us for the best queer vegan BBQ you'll likely ever go to!

Babetown Fancy is a food focused, small table take on the general Babetown parties. Each Babetown Fancy dinner is a several course meal, served in a private home with 15-20 other queer women, trans and non binary people, highlighting the work of queer chefs in and around New York. This May, we kick off spring in downtown Manhattan with a plated tasting from our founder, Alex Koones.
Alex grew up cooking often alongside the women of her traditionally Jewish community prior to moving to New Orleans and taking her first line cook position. Since returning to her home city, she has worked in some of New York's finest restaurants including the Breslin, The Nomad and Jean-Georges and ran several other pop-ups including a queer brunch and a pie-and-liquor pop-up called Crust. Koones's food seeks to modernize and expand an understanding of regional Jewish cuisine, fusing together Ashkenazi and Sephardic influences, with a focus on comfort food. Every month, feeding New York's queer community for the larger, general Babetown events is the greatest joy of her life and cannot wait to do a more intimate, plated dinner for everyone.
Don't miss out on this unique culinary experience! Tickets are available on Eventbrite, or to avoid the Eventbrite fee, Venmo the cost of your ticket to @Babetown with the name of the party you want in the description.
